We did a thing...Part I.
Well, it's been a few months however, it's still worth celebrating.
In December 2023, Cafe con Libros finally merged all our systems.
Prior to then, our website was managed by Wix and
the point of sales (POS) by Shopkeep. It was absolute chaos.
Our inventory was perpetually inaccurate, sales report scattered
and our patience constantly tested.
In December, I learned that Wix added the tip feature to their POS
and it was a wrap for Shopkeep. CURTAINS.
See, from the onset, I dreamed of Wix being our one-stop shop.
They're an amazing start-up with such innovation and an impressive ability to pivot. Sorta like yours truly :)
I could not see myself anywhere else except there wasn't a tip feature.
Bookish Fam, tips for the staff was a must; we had to have it.
Six years later and we've found our way back to Wix.
It's our one-stop shop like I always envisioned.
The staff and I are so HAPPY and HOPEFUL!
All that to say, our website now reflects what's in our store.
With the exception of advance reading copies (ARCs), what you see in on IG is available online and in the store. Yes to symmetry!
There are tons of new features that I can't wait to introduce you to.
2024 goal is to curate a seamless, accessible and joyful experience.
We are still building it out specifically,
updating migrated inventory. Please do not be discouraged or judgmental. Growth is oftentimes messy and inconvenient.
You know I love the mess and discomfort of growth.
The other side of it is so delish that the journey is worth every headache!
